What is the maximum file size for PDF tools?
Most tools support files up to 100MB. For very large PDFs (books, technical manuals), try compressing first to reduce size before other operations. If you're merging many files, do it in batches of 5-10 files for best performance.
Will converting PDF to Word preserve my formatting?
Formatting preservation depends on how the original PDF was created. PDFs created from Word documents convert back very well. Scanned PDFs (essentially images) require OCR technology first and may lose some formatting. Complex multi-column layouts and custom fonts are the most challenging to preserve.
Can I compress a password-protected PDF?
You need to remove the password first using our Unlock PDF tool (you'll need to know the current password), then compress the unlocked file. Re-apply password protection after compression if needed.
