QR Code Generator — Fully Customizable & Free

QR codes (Quick Response codes) are 2D barcodes readable by smartphone cameras. They can encode URLs, plain text, contact information, WiFi credentials, and much more. Our generator lets you create professional-looking QR codes with custom colors and optional logos.

How to Use QR Codes Effectively

For print materials, always use High error correction (especially if adding a logo), minimum 300 DPI resolution, and download the 1024px version. For digital use, 256px is sufficient. Always test your QR code with multiple devices before printing.

QR Code Use Cases

  • Business cards — Link to your LinkedIn or portfolio
  • Restaurant menus — Contactless menu access
  • Marketing campaigns — Track offline-to-online conversions
  • WiFi sharing — Let guests connect without typing passwords
  • Product packaging — Link to instructions or warranty pages

QR Code FAQs

What is the best QR code size for printing?

For print use, download the 1024px PNG and print at 300 DPI. As a general rule, a QR code should be at least 2×2 cm (0.8 inches) for reliable scanning. Larger is always better for scan distance.

Why should I use High error correction when adding a logo?

Error correction allows QR codes to be read even when partially obscured. High error correction (30% recovery) means up to 30% of the QR code can be covered by a logo and still scan correctly.

Do QR codes expire?

Static QR codes like the ones we generate never expire — they simply encode data. The QR code will work as long as the URL or data it contains remains valid. If the website you linked to goes down, the QR code will still scan but lead to an error page.
