How the Watermark Remover Works
This tool uses a browser-based inpainting algorithm. When you paint over a watermark with the brush, you're creating a "mask" — the area you want to replace. When you click "Remove Watermark," the algorithm analyzes the pixels surrounding your painted area and fills it in with statistically likely content based on the neighboring regions.
This technique works well for simple, flat-color watermarks over uniform backgrounds. For complex watermarks over highly detailed or textured areas, you may need to apply the process multiple times or try different brush sizes for better results.
Tips for Best Results
- Use a brush size just slightly larger than the watermark
- Don't over-select — painting too far beyond the watermark picks up good pixels
- For text watermarks, try applying the removal in small sections
- Use the Undo button if the result doesn't look right and try again
